Transparency of decisions
The index measures the transparency of the budgeting system and documents, the extent to which they are comprehensible, and the opportunities for control by individuals and NGOs. The questions are answered by independent NGOs. Hungary is not in the database, but the Fiscal Responsibility Institute calculated the Hungarian values making use of the same methodology.
Only the 2012 data are available on Hungary. According to that ranking, Hungary assumes the 60th position of in terms of the transparency of the budget process.
