Inequality is rising within the ranks of Hungarian society, in terms of revenues, access to education, as well as the situation of minorities and women.

Youth employment

The impact of the public works program can be felt in the statistics. However, there is an even more conspicuous phenomenon: multitudes of young people receive no education in any form over 18 years of age.

Employment rate of women

The employment rate of women rose only slightly, to 56.4 per cent, during this period. Despite this, there has been no significant change, which is consistent with the overall employment trends, implying that the gap between men and women has not been narrowed over this period.

Gender gap

Hungary is clearly going in the wrong direction on the question of equality between men and women, which is one of the cornerstones of the Green New Deal and all signs show that the trend is going to continue to worsen.
